This week Randy Rogers presents "Keystone Source Search!"
Here is what he plans to do:
Keystone Source Search
Today I will be showing the audience a new source searching utility.
If you use Carl Barne's CSS tool, then this presentation will be of interest to you.
With Keystone Source Search (KSS) you can perform powerful standard and regular expression searches through one or multiple text files, such as source code, logging, and debugging information.
KSS is capable of finding the exact text you are looking for in any ASCII file or files. However, sometimes you have only part of the information that you want to match, or you want to find a wider range of information. In such cases, KSS has the powerful capability to search for patterns of text using regular expressions.
The underlying search engine for KSS is the Findstr command. KSS provides a convenient, user friendly, interface for the many command line options. Search text is always treated as a literal search string [/l and /c:] and files with non-printable characters are always skipped [/p]. The regular expression functionality of the Findstr command is used for the main text search. There are many examples that can be found on the internet.
KSS captures and filters the output of the Findstr command, opens the file associated with the selected result list item, and displays it in a syntax highlighting editor built on the Scintilla control. KSS has built-in styling for the Clarion language and can easily be extended, through the use of special property files, to provide styling for other languages supported by the Scintilla control.
Features:
- Very Fast
- Includes Text Editor
- Searches More Files
- Syntax Highlighting and Code Folding for Clarion and other languages
- Modern User Interface
- SendTo command to send to ultraedit (or any other program for that matter) if you need to
- Undo
- Unlimited Recursion
- Identifies matches in Code and Data

New DMC Software Maintenance Plan (News)
Software Maintenance Plan is a subscription service added to your existing DMC license and current SMP, whereas an upgrade license is a one off (allowing you to renew your expired old MP or SMP for 1 year). Software Maintenance is bought on a yearly basis and once bought, customers will be protected for all upgrades on any release, as well as enjoying the priority email support. Upgrade License is for customers who did not subscribe to the software maintenance plan or who let their old MP or SMP expire but want to upgrade their license to the latest release and also enjoy a 1year SMP. The upgrade license price is 50% of the new license price, whereas for Software Maintenance Plan it is as low as 25% of the license price. As a comparison with the old prices: the Enterprise level 1 year renewal is _lowered by 20%_ (saving you nearly 30$) and the Runtime Engine one is at the same price (unchanged since over 18 months). Up to January 15 2012 you will be able to renew (instead of an upgrade) at the new price and to _save_ 50%!

BSIdent 1.4 (News)
BSIdent now has optional checkbox to remove GUID from TXA's and TXD's. Removing TXA GUID's reverts newer C7/C8 apps back to C6 apps, as well as resolving dictionary conflicts and misalignment when changing dictionaries in C7/C8. This does not address adding new controls/features such as Slider control, etc. that are not available in C6. Do Not remove GUID from the C7/C8 txd's, as they lose their links for keys and relationships.
